Information about Berthold Batz
Berthold Batz was a toy maker in Sonneberg, Germany. He started business in 1900. He primary made dolls and other children's toys. Here are two catalogs of the items he sold from the 1920's. The felt jacket Santa's were given away as gifts during Christmas to customers.

Here is the opening page (picture 3) in English which reads " Dear Sir, The present catalogue gives a concise account of the special lines made in my own factory, and your attention is drawn to the fact that all these articles are first rate quality. For the last 25 years I made it my duty to supply my customers with solidly made goods at lowest prices. Any order which you will be so kind as to place with me, will have my best attention and care. Requesting you to give my cataloque your kind persual, and soliciting the favour of your patronage, I remain, Dear Sir, yours very truly Berthold Batz. |
